1 A Measurement and Economic Analysis of the Factors Influencing the Choice Behavior of Family Fertilization--An Analytical Perspective Based on the Econometric Model of Discrete Choice
DU Ben-feng
The characteristics of fertilization choice in our country are that families prefer to have fewer children, the utility advantage of boys over girls is disappearing gradually and rural families are turning from fertilization behavior to education behavior. Education and profession have the greatest influene on the choice of fertilization model. Next is age and marital status. Based on the analysis result, the author thinks that increasing education investment, eliminating the gap between income distribution and employment and establishing fair social security system will reenforce the positive effect of the family planning policy

6 The Optimal Income Gap within Urban Areas Based on Consumption Maximization
TAN Hong-ye, KE Xue-liang
The urban areas of our country face the dual problems of widening income gap and continued consumption slump. The authors selected the 20% highest income group (high-income group) and 20% lowest income group (low-income group) in urban areas as the representative classes of urban residents and used the income gap between these two classes to represent the income gap within urban areas. By establishing the optimal income gap theoretical model based on consumption maximization and using the data of 1985-2009 statistical yearbook and MATLAB mathematical software, the authors measured the optimal income gap within the rural areas of our country and provided a significant frame of reference for the income redistribution aiming at expanding consumption

10 An Analysis of the Causes of Labor Migration Based on the Core-Periphery Model
LI Chuan-yu
Wage difference is the main cause of labor migration. The higher the transportation cost is, the bigger the substitute elasticity of industrial products is and the lower the payout of consumers in industrial products, the more laborers tend to distribute evenly in space. Otherwise, laborers are more likely to move to areas with higher income levels, and the core-periphery spatial pattern will be formed finally.

15 Is Network Effect Sure to Cause Technology Lock-in?
GUO Shui-wen
In network industry, there is always fierce competition between alternative technologies. It is believed traditionally that due to network effect the result of technological competition is one technology becoming the dominant standard of the whole industry, and the users of the technology are locked in the technology, which cannot lead to optimal equilibrium result. Therefore it is necessary for the government to interfere in technological competition. However, traditional idea neglects the function of the sponsors of technology, spontaneous coordination between users and diversified preference of users, which can solve technology lock-in caused by network effect to some degree. Therefore, the government should not intervene in the technological competition of network products excessively, but should protect intellectual property rights well, provide more market information and guarantee the autonomous selection right of users

20 A Comparative Study of Urban and Rural Residents' Consumption Behavior
LI Hui , XU Hui-qi
Based on the theory of precautionary savings, the authors make a comparative study of the consumption behavior of urban and rural residents in the same framework. The findings indicate that compared with urban residents, rural residents are more cautious in spending, less sensitive to the changes in interest rates and affected more by uncertain factors. However, consumer inertia and institutional transformation have no significant influence on either urban residents or rural residents

25 An Empirical Analysis of the Relationship between Urbanization Level and Long-term Economic Growth --An Investigation Based on the Panel Data of 27 Provinces
YAN Xiao-Hong
Using an endogenous growth model of urbanization level and non-stationary panel data techniques, the author reviewed the relationship between urbanization and economic growth in the provinces of China. The conclusion shows that though the overall urbanization level of china is low and the urbanization level needs to be improved to accelerate economic growth, the improvement in urbanization level can not promote economic growth in all the provinces. Some provinces have become over-urbanized compared with economic growth and the improvement in their urbanization level has negative effect on economic growth. In addition the negative effect of over-urbanization might counteract the effect of investment

29 Environmental Regulation, Opening to the Outside World and Regional Technology Innovation--An Empirical Research Base on the Panel Data from Nine Provinces and Areas In Inland Pan Pearl River District
WANG Peng, GUO Yong-qin
Based on innovation environment and innovation theories, using the panel data model, the authors analyzed the influence of environmental regulation and opening to the outside world on the technology innovation of nine provinces and areas in inland pan Pearl River district. The empirical research results show that both S&T personnel and the level of environmental regulation have negative effect on the technology innovation of nine provinces in the inland Pan Pearl River District, both intramural expenditures on S&T activities and the level of regional economic development have positive influence on the technology innovation of the nine provinces and areas in the inland pan Pearl River district. The effect of exterior opening-up level is uncertain and FDI dependence has a negative impact on the technology innovation of the nine provinces and areas in the inland pan pearl River district. The effect of foreign trade dependence is positive but not significant

43 The Progress and Orientation of the Researches into the Economic Growthof Chinese Areas Rich in Natural Resources--A Discussion Based on “Resource Curse”
ZHANG Fan-yong
The author systematically reviews the relevant research literature on the economic growth of the Chinese areas rich in natural resources from the three aspects of the existence, transmission mechanism and countermeasures of “resource curse”. Related researches have had some achievements, but due to the lack of theoretical analysis and the set error in the empirical research model and the simplification of data sample sources, they can’t provide a better understanding of and settle the problem of economic growth in the areas rich in resources. More case studies and theoretical analyses are needed to sinicize overseas research achievements

53 Can the Sole Proprietorship Tendency of the Transnational Companies in China be Reversed?--An Analysis Based on the Perspective of Industrial Structure
YIN Hua-fang
Can the sole proprietorship tendency of the transnational companies in China be reversed? This is a problem neglected by the academic circle. From the perspective of industrial structure, the author analyzed the effect of industrial structure factor on the sole proprietorship tendency of the transnational companies. The result shows that marketization intensity, industrial policy on foreign investment, capital intensity and marketing intensity have positive effect on the sole proprietorship tendency of the transnational companies while the competition intensity of an industry is negatively related to the sole proprietorship tendency of the transnational companies. Based on these results, only by enhancing the competitive intensity of an industry can the sole proprietorship tendency of the transnational companies be reversed fundamentally

FAN Hui-ling , HE Li-sheng , LI Jun-chao
In the analysis framework of nested regulation system, the authors introduce the mechanism of collaborative governance involved by the government, business and society and do research into the coupling of social regulation and CSR. In the collaborative governance, social regulation can be internalized into the decisive factor of enterprise behavior through affecting the competitivenessof enterprises|companies can impact government regulation through fulfilling their social responsibilities|the non-governmental organizations can provide thecoupling of the two with external supervision mechanisms and an information platform through its information influence. Authorized self-regulation, co-regulation and responsive regulation are the effective mode to realize the coupling of the two

67 Will Increase in Land Supply Restrain the Excessive Rise of Housing Prices?
MAO Liang
To prevent housing prices from going up too fast, a major policy taken by the government is to increase the supply of land. However, in reality this policy has not been always effective. The author built a simple model about the determination of housing prices and land prices and analyzed the influence of government land supply on housing prices and land prices. The author holds that the effect of government regulation measures depends on specific market conditions, especially the extent of speculation and the sensitivity of expected housing prices to the change in land prices. In a housing market with a large extent of speculation, an increase in land supply may raise rather than lower housing prices

72 The Endogenous Evolution of Technology in the Development of the Theory of International Trade
ZHAO Chun-ming, GUO Jie-xiu
The development of trade theory starts from the analysis of technical difference, intending to interpret the actual connection between trade and growth. However, the neglect of technology in the development process of trade theory led to a narrow and limited explanation of benefit from international trade. Based on the need of trade theory to explain the reality, the authors analyzed the reasons for the neglect of technology and its exogenous disposal and the limitations and explored the path of technology endogens is driven by the factual economy. The authors believe that only by combining technology with factor endowment difference and economy of scale can trade theory give comprehensive and objective answers to many key questions such as the drive of international trade, variance in trade mode and dynamic trade profit, etc

77 An Analysis of the Efficiency of the Manufacturing Intra-industry Trade between China and Emerging Markets--Based on BC2 Model of DEA
YU Feng , WANG Ye-qiang
By selecting the input and output indexes with national characteristics, the authors used DEA method and analyzed empirically the efficiency of manufacturing intra-industry trade between China and the main emerging markets. The study shows that from the aspect of “pure technical efficiency”, the efficiencies of the trade between China and all the countries are extremely high except Brail, India, Russia|from the aspect of “scale efficiency”, the efficiencies of the trade between China and all the countries are relatively low and scale efficiency increases basically|from the aspect of labor intensive and resource intensive finished products, the comprehensive efficiencies of the trade between China and most countries are high and China is at the advantageous place of upper vertical intra-industry trade|from the aspect of capital intensive and technology intensive finished products, the comprehensive efficiencies of the trade between China and Korea, Mexico, Indonesia and Russia are high and China is at the disadvantageous place of lower vertical intra-industry trade

82 A Research into the Path of Financial Development Increasing Trade Volume:a Transnational Empirical Analysis
SHI Bing-zhan
The existing researches focus on financial development and have testified that financial development can increase trade volume, but neglect the path of financial development increasing trade volume. Using the bilateral HS six-digit trade data of all the countries of the world from 1995 to 2007, the author disassembled the total export of a country into export scope, quantity and quality. Then the author analyzed empirically the extent of the influence of financial development on export scope, quantity and quality, and thus researched the path of financial development increasing trade volume. The conclusion shows that financial development increases trade volume mainly by the path of export scope

86 Intra-industry Technology Spillover of FDI and Industrial Characteristics--An Empirical Analysis Based on China’s High-Tech Industry
HE Ze-jun
With a large amount of foreign investment swarming into China, how toacquire the technology spillover effect of foreign investment and make it servethe improvement of industry innovation capability becomes a hotspot in the research field. With its characteristics of high knowledge intensity, high growth, and high radiation, high-tech industry has become the important force for the adjustment of industrial structure and the enhancement of innovation capability. Using the method of panel data analysis, considering the influence of lag phase, the author makes an empirical analysis of the technology spillover effect of FDI by using the data of 15 subsectors of china’s high-tech industry from 1999 to 2008, and analyzes the industrial characteristics with significant spillover effect. The results show that the industry of the manufacture of electronic components, medical equipment and appliance and instrument and meter has significant spillover effect and shows the characteristics of modest capacity gap between domestic and foreign corporations, lower absorptive capacity, moderate foreign participation, lower market concentration and moderate level of opening up

92 Entrepreneurial Optimal Investment, Consumption and Pricing
YANG Jin-qiang, YANG Zhao-jun, SHI Feng
The authors consider the corporate finance problem of how an entrepreneur facing stochastic market risk realizes consumption utility maximization through consumption, risk management and costly dynamic adjustment of the scale of capital asset. Utilizing dynamic stochastic control, the authors derive the semi-closed solutions to the average value and marginal value of the capital in incomplete market and non risk neutral enterprises and the corresponding optimal management strategies. Based on CAPM, the authors obtained the expected return rate of entrepreneurs, the beta coefficient and risk premium of enterprises. The numeric results show that in an incomplete market, the risk attitude of entrepreneurs has significant effect on the value of corporate capital, beta coefficient, risk premium, expected return rate and the corresponding optimal management strategies

97 An Empirical Study on the Endogenous Mechanism of the Investment and Financing Decisionsof Enterprises: from the Perspective of Tax Benefit and Bankruptcy Cost
PENG Cheng, LIU Yi , XIONG Yu
Based on the panel data of 708 Chinese listed firms from 2001 to 2009, the authors empirically analyzed the endogenous mechanism of the investment and financing decisions of enterprises from the perspective of tax benefit and bankruptcy cost. The results reveal that because of tax benefit, debt financing increases investment expenditure and the positive effect will become no more significant when the firm is highly in debt. For the purpose of utilizing the value promotion function of debt interest tax shield, investment will increase the debt financing of enterprises. However because of the high bankruptcy cost in the condition of high debt level, the promotion becomes insignificant|considering the tax shield substitute effect of depreciation, depreciation weakens the promotion effect of investment on debt financing and finally results in the negative correlation between investment expenditure and debt financing in those firms with high depreciation rate

103 An Analysis of the Influence of Exterior Shock on the Employment of Migrant Workers in the Impoverished Rural Areas --Taking the Employment of the Laborers in the Impoverished Rural Areas in the Financial Crisis as an Example
LUO Ren-fu, ZHANG Lin-xiu, ZHAO Qi-ran, LIU Cheng-fang
Using the household survey data from 720 farm households in 3 provinces, 6 counties and 24 towns, the authors analyzed the off-farm employment situation of the laborers in the impoverished rural areas of our country and the influence of financial crisis on off-farm employment. The analysis result shows that only about half of the laborers in the impoverished areas of our country are employed in the off-farm industries. The percentage is lower than that of other areas of our country. The financial crisis had more negative effect on the laborers who have lower education level and haven’t received technical training than on the laborers who have higher education level and have received technical training. The research found that the involvement rate of the off-farm employment of the laborers in the impoverished rural areas of our country is low and the negative effect of the financial crisis on off-farm employment is greater in the impoverished rural areas than the non-impoverished rural areas. This result is of great significance for the government making policies supporting the impoverished areas and the vulnerable groups in the future.

108 The Legal Realization and Possibility of Rural Migrant Workers’ Social Intergration
CAO Fei,CHEN Peng-lian
As an important tool for government to implement social integration, law is conducive to government realizing effective social integration of peasants (rural migrant workers) and the countryside. The transformation of contract environment from acquaintance society to stranger society demands objectively that the trust mechanism of rural migrant workers transform from special trust to general trust and favorable legal quality is conducive to rural migrant workers protecting their rights and interests and settling conflicts. As social integration model changes from “mechanical unconformity” to “organic integration”, responsive law is needed objectively to standardize and coordinate social division of labor and cooperation|the lawful regulation of rural migrant workers’ behavior is conducive to the realization of their citizenization and modernization. However whether from the aspect of the government and society or from the aspect of rural migrant workers themselves, there are some realistic problems with the legal realization of migrant workers’ social integration, so the legal realization of migrant workers’ social integration is limited

113 A Research into the Contract Connection Means between Farmers and Market--The Application and Perfection of the Theoretical Framework ofTransaction Cost Economics
TANG Hao
Using the theoretical framework of transaction cost economics, the author gives a unified explanation of the causes of the formation of the various contract connection means between farmers and market. The transaction contracts between farmers and market should take commodity contract, hybrid contract and elements contract respectively depending on asset specificity, uncertainty and transaction frequency, and adopt market governance, bilateral or trilateral governance and unified governance correspondingly. However, the theoretical framework of transaction cost economics has its defects. It can not explain why different contract connection means arise between farmers and market under the condition of roughly the same trade environment and trade characteristics. It can be reasonably explained only if the entrepreneurship of the market mainstay is included in the analysis framework. The contracts between farmers and market must follow the economic laws and training and stimulating the entrepreneurship of the market mainstay, especially farmer entrepreneurs, should be attached more importance

118 The Size of Local Government under the Condition of PromotionIncentive and Fiscal Decentralization
XIE Qiao-xin , KONG Liu-liu , ZHANG Yu
The relationship between fiscal decentralization and the size of local government has been researched deeply by western scholars, but promotion incentive is not involved. However, the evaluation and promotion of local officials by the central government have significant influence on the behavior of local officials because of China's highly centralized political system. Through constructing a theoretical model, the authors explore the behavior patterns of local officials under the condition of promotion incentive and fiscal decentralization, and hold that horizontal comparison achievement evaluation means which is dominated by economic growth will propel some local officials to make more efforts to increase fiscal revenue in the condition that the regional economic gaps are widening, and thus promote the immoderate expansion of the size of local government

123 A Study of the Interaction between Agricultural Future Market and Stock Market--An Empirical Analysis Based on a Multi VAR-GARCH(1,1)-BEKK Model
KOU Ming-ting , LU Xin-sheng , CHEN Kai-hua
By constructing the agricultural futures composite price index and the stock composite price index of related listed companies, applying the progressive quantitative analysis framework comprised of co-integration, Granger test and MGARCH model, the authors made an empirical research and profound analysis of the interactive relationship between the two kinds of market during the period of 2005-2010. The research finds that there is a strong relevancy and a long-term equilibrium interaction between agricultural futures market and related stock market. The deviation of the short--term price in agricultural futures market from the equilibrium price has prominent pulling effect on related stock price. In addition, the empirical analysis also shows that there is a unidirectional volatility spillover effect from futures market to stock market in the two kinds of market

128 An Empirical Analysis of the Influence of Credit Derivatives on the Credit Transmission Channel of Monetary Policy
LI Li-ping
The rapid development of credit derivative market will have influence on the size of credit market and bond market, and thus affect the credit transmission channel of monetary policy. Based on the data from U.S financial market, the author establishes a linear regression model and VAR model for the three variables including composite interest rate, the size of credit derivative market and the size of credit and bond market and makes an empirical analysis. It is found that the development of the credit derivative market does have an obvious effect on bank credit and bond market and weaken credit transmission channel of monetary policy. In reverse, the effect of credit and bond market on credit derivative markets is not obvious. That is, the mutual effect of them is asymmetric

132 A Comparative Research into the Risk Contagion Effects of the Financial Crises
LIU Ping , DU Xiao-rong
With the improvement of integration of international economy, the sudden economic events in one country may lead to the changes in the interaction between international financial markets and even have contagion effect on the economy of the whole world. Using Skew t-GARCH model, the authors handled the characteristics of pinnacle, volatility and fat tail shown in the time series data, and in combination with static and dynamic copula function method, the authors compared the changes in the relevant structure in the three financial markets of America and China in the recent 20 years before and after the 1997 and 2007 financial crises, and made a comparative analysis of the contagion effect and contagion channel of financial risks

137 The Simultaneous VaR Calculation of Exchange Rate Risk Based on Panel-GARCH Model
LIU Yong-ming, HE Wei
To make up for the defect of the existing VaR calculation model in the process of calculating the VaR value of multiple exchange rate risk factor, the authors applied the Panel-GARCH model to the measurement of the VaR of exchange rate risk. When the Panel-GARCH model is compared with the univariate GARCH model, BEKK model and DCC model in the multivariate GARCH model, the authors found that the result of simultaneous VaR calculation is better than the other three models. The panel GARCH model based on the assumption of the residual normal distribution can better capture exchange rate fluctuations, and its application can enhance the accuracy of VaR estimate and interest rate risk management of financial institutions or enterprises

142 Incomplete Exchange Rate Transfer: A Theoretical and Empirical Analysis
YANG Chu, LI Ji, LIU Hang
Exchange rate plays a very important role in the pricing process of international trade. How the changes in exchange rate affect the price of trade goods in international trade is of great research significance. However, the analyses in the traditional economic theory on the mechanism of the influence of interest rate on trade mainly focused on the flexibility of goods, etc, but ignored such elements as market power and product substitution, etc. On the basis of the market structure of the sellers, the authors analyzed how the changes in exchange rate affect the pricing of export goods in the case of the existence of market power and product substitution of different manufacturers and concluded that market power and product substitution of different manufacturers make exchange rate transfer incomplete.

146 Revaluation of Stock Dividends and Value: Signaling, Liquidity Improvement or Price Illusion?
ZHU Yuan-qi, LIU Shan-cun
Using the preliminary earning disclosure mechanism introduced by both Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2005 to separate the earning information and dividend distribution information of Chinese listed firms, the authors re-examined the market responses to stock dividend announcements in A-share market and adopted signaling hypothesis and liquidity hypothesis to explore its inherent causes. The findings show that there are positive market responses to stock dividend announcements even after earning information has been expected by the market. What is different from the previous researches is that the author found that listed firms granting stock dividends can keep earning increasing in the following 2 to 4 quarters. Therefore signaling hypothesis is a reasonable explanation of the market responses to stock dividends announcements. However, though stock dividend distributions can make small trading more active, most liquidity variables do not improve significantly, which means liquidity hypothesis is not suitable to Chinese A shares

152 The Rational Choice of the Supervision of CRA: Enhancing Competition and Weakening Dependence
GAO Han
In the past over forty years, credit rating agencies have been related to many important financial events: the bankruptcy of Penn Central Transportation Corporation in 1977, the bankruptcy of Orange County in 1994, 1997 Asia financial crisis, 2001 Anran affair, 2002 the bankruptcy of WorldCom,2008 subprime crisis. In all these events the negative effect of CRA exists. So it’s very important to strengthen the supervision of CRA. The analysis of the paper shows that it’s vital to enhance competition in the CRA market and weaken dependence on credit rating, which is embodied in relevant provisions of Credit Rating Agency Reform Act in 2006 and Restoring American Financial Stability Act 2010

156 A Research into the Judicial Remedy Mechanism of the Right to Social Security
FU Long-fei
The right to social security is the basic human right of modern citizens, which contains basic needs of a person’s survival and human dignity. The right to social security is vulnerable to the infringement of privacy right and public power and the choice and construction of its judicial remedy mechanism depend on the legal contents and characteristics of the right to social security. As the social right and constitutional right of modern citizens, the right to social security has the properties of legal compulsion, pluralistic subjects, compound relationships, public welfare and actionability. The judicial implementation relies on “dual system”, namely, civil procedure and administrative procedure. But the deficiency of the two models and relevant security systems affects the remedy of social security right. It is necessary to construct our country’s social security right remedy mechanism in the existing legal framework and fully safeguard citizens’ social security rights by transforming the administrative review procedure and arbitration procedure, establishing a dedicated social security court, establishing public interest litigation system and perfecting relevant judicial assistance system and legal responsibility system
