Abstract:
Based on the survey data of 72 cooperatives in Jiangxi province, we use ordered Logistic model from the aspects of property right structure and technology trading structure to analyze institutional factors’ influence on Farmer Professional Cooperative’s performance. The research results show that there is close relationship between the performance and the system structure of cooperative. Factors such as ownership concentration, joining limitation, the difficulty of distinguishing the main product’s quality, membership and established time all have significant impacts on the cooperative’s performance. Finally, it is proposed that the government should build up scientific and reasonable cooperative structure according to local conditions, promote the optimization of the equity structure and the implementation of truly democratic management, adhere to the cooperative development principle of “give priority to efficiency with due consideration to fairness ”.
