Abstract:
Using data of 31 provinces and districts in China, this paper analyzes the spatial distribution differences and spatial correlation of knowledge production, and based on the reviewing of the measure methods of knowledge spillovers, develops Griliches-Jaffe knowledge production function by changing the traditional single-factor input to the two-factor inputs, and then builds the spatial econometric model taking economic distance matrix as spatial weight matrix, mean while the other influencing factors such as import, human capital, FDI are also included in the analysis. The results show that there is a positive knowledge spillover between regions with similar economic level.
