Abstract:
The authors test the convergence for spatial difference of discharge intensity in the Yangtze Delta Area from 2002~2008. It shows that the characteristics of discharge intensity in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai are variant. However, from the results of absolute convergence model, the discharge intensity of industrial waste water, industrial gas and industrial solid waste is convergent significantly. Analyzed from conditional convergence model, except that the growth rate of GDP per capita contributes to spatial convergence of all three discharge intensity, the effects of other factors on spatial convergence are not the same. This reflects that the discharge intensity also depends on industry, trade, population etc. in each city
