The Impact of Human Capital,Social Capital on Migrant Workers’ Employment Quality——An Analysis of Gender Perspective

Abstract:
Using the data of 370 migrant workers’ employment in L city,Shanxi province,this paper analyzes gender difference of effects of human capital,social capital on employment quality based on OLS and Ordinal models.The results show that,compared with female migrant workers,male workers own higher wages,longer working hours and worse work stability.Human capital can’t improve male migrant workers’ hourly wages,but can delay their work time,and is helpful to change job.However,human capital can improve female migrant workers’ hourly wages.Social capital can’t improve male migrant workers’ hourly wages,but can delay female migrant workers’ work time.
