Abstract:
Since the governments at all levels to implement local protectionism artificially restrict the free flow of goods and factors of production, increasing the degree of market segmentation of our products. So find out the continuing impact of the domestic market segmentation and hinder the flow of factors of production factors, will effectively promote China's inter-regional flow of factors of production rational and optimization. Based on the gravity model using provincial panel data, the product market segmentation of inter-provincial trade, preferences and local level segmentation estimate and examine the reasons. The results show that our market presence interprovincial more serious segmentation phenomenon. Natural interprovincial trade barriers and administrative barriers exacerbated the market of inter-provincial division.
