Abstract Shanghai financial development and Shanghai economic growth promote each other. Shanghai financial development has greater promotion to Zhejiang economy. However, Zhejiang economic growth has negative effect on Shanghai financial development. Shanghai financial development has no significant influence on Jiangsu economic growth, but Jiangsu economic growth promotes Shanghai financial development.
