Abstract:
The paper makes an empirical research on 13 major grain producing areas in China from 1980 to 2012, and the their of farming, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery structures, locations, competitive advantages and benefits based on shift-share method. Results show that grain processing capacity and production capacity in China is relatively weak, agricultural production and grain production seriously distorted in farming, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery dominated by plantation agriculture dominates, but declining. Departure from agricultural production value growth potential and actual growth, grain structure of agricultural production efficiency, growth and integration benefits gap significantly. To ensure grain security in major grain-producing areas, must increase grain production and value enhancement, second-largest agricultural industry is encouraged and supported types, gradually forming a stable and diverse patterns of agriculture, build “agricultural special zone” to increase grain production.
