Abstract:
As the main part of international intellectual return, overseas returnees are an important force for their home countries’ technological progress and the development of a country’s financial market is an important factor influencing the technology spillovers of returnees. The empirical research with the national data of 1985-2008 indicates that the positive effect of Chinese financial market on the technology spillovers of returnees has begun to show, but because of the low level of China’s financial market development and the imperfect financial market system, China can not provide effective financial support for enhancing the degree of returnees’ technology spillovers.
