Abstract:
The authors empirically analyzed the factors affecting farmers participating in new rural cooperative medical scheme and farmers’ satisfaction degree. The empirical results show that income per capita, family size and gender have no significant correlation with the farmers’ participating wish, but education level, family structure, health condition of family members, level of farmers’ payment and nominal reimbursement level of the new rural cooperative medical scheme are significantly related to farmers’ participating wish. Farmers’ positive appraisal is concentrated and stable, but problems still exist, such as medical and health service institutions can't meet the needs of farmers in the aspects of technology, price, attitude, etc.
