A Study on   the Kuznets Curve of   China’s Regional Industrial   Environmental Efficiency

Abstract This paper estimated industrial environmental efficiency through SBM, studied the nonlinear relationship between environmental efficiency and regulation by EKC model. Results show that China’s industrial environmental efficiency is still low; Central and Western EKC are all N-type, while Northeastern is inverted N-type, what’s more, the EKC stage and development trend is different between regions: Eastern and Central Region are currently in the downward phase of EKC, stepping into the second stage of rise; Western Region is still in the first rising stage, stepping into the downward trend; Northeastern Region is currently in the rising stage of inverted N-type EKC.
