Wages, Labor Productivity and Comparative Advantages of the Manufacturing Industries in Henan Province

Abstract Based on the data set from Henan province statistical yearbooks from 2001 to 2012, this paper utilizes SFA estimated the marginal productivity of labor of the industries in Henan province. The results show that RCLs in Henan province are lower in the majority of labor intensive industries which show obviously comparative advantages. Moreover, along with accepting more investment in Henan, capital per capita and MPL are rising, and further advances the comparative advantages of Henan’s industries.
