Research on the Overall Measurement and Relationship of Performance under Different Innovation Mode in China

Abstract Based on the analysis of China's innovation patterns and innovation cycle, this paper collects panel data of high-tech industry, using the Grainger causality test, panel data, panel VAR model to study the performance and interactive relationship between self-dependent innovation and introduced technology. The results show that, the overall use and secondary innovation of technology introduction has good performance in China. Alternative and complementary effect coexists in self-dependent innovation and introduced technology, and it shows a good momentum because complementary effect is greater than substitution effect. Empirical study deduces China doesn’t have the phenomenon of “low efficiency trap in technology introduction”, but the primary innovation in China still has a large gap compared to developed country.
