Abstract From political economics, using game theory,this paper analyses the relationship between firm heterogeneity and protection level of service trade and makes empirical test in China’s service industry.The results indicate that for a given service industry, the higher industrial concentration is,the higher trade protection level is. The lower labor productivity is,the higher trade protection level is. The lower capital intensity is,the higher trade protection level is. Besides,China’s special pattern of ownership broadens the meaning of firm heterogeneity.For a given service industry,the bigger the weight of state-owned enterprises is,the higher trade protection level is.
