Abstract Using the four-dimension job and employment quality indicators of European Foundation, this article researches on the new generation of migrant workers’ employment situation and employment quality adopting the statistical analysis and calculating analysis methods on the basis of 2012 survey data in Henan province. The statistical analysis shows that the employment quality of new generation of migrant workers is not high in China. And the test results of Probit model and ordered Probit model find out that occupation type, trade unions, wage level, work intensity, work overtime and training situation are the main influence factors of low employment quality. Establishing an unobstructed information transmission mechanism, improving the education level of new generation of migrant workers, enhancing the vocational skills training for new generation of migrant workers and building the harmonious labor relations for new generation of migrant workers can contribute to achieve higher employment quality and social integration for new generation of migrant workers efficiently.
