Abstract This paper researches the effects of TFP、FDI to the Urban-rural Income Gap by sampling provincial panel data during the period of 1992-2010 with Malmquist index method. It is found that TFP reduces the income gap in eastern region,but enlarge the gap in central and western region. The inverse U-shape curve exists between FDI and Urban-rural income gap with most of provinces in eastern and central region to the right side of the inverse curve and the most of western provinces still in the left side.
