Abstract Using the input and output table and the panel data of industry, the authors made an empirical test of the effect of international service outsourcing on employment and wage gaps. The result shows that international service outsourcing in industry promoted employment and widened the gap between highly skilled laborers and less skilled laborers. When industrial factor concentration differences are considered, international service outsourcing has positive expanding effect on the employment and wage gaps in capital intensive and labor intensive industries, but its expanding effect is greater in capital intensive industry.
