Abstract Making use of co-integration analysis, error correction model analysis and Granger causality test, the author made an empirical research into the relationship between urbanization development and agriculture growth and explored the long-term stability and short term equilibrium relationship between them. The study shows that there is a dynamic equilibrium between them in the long term|the intensity that they interact with each other is different in the long term and short term|they both have the one way causal relationship at different durations of lag
