Abstract By constructing a panel Granger causality test model with control variables and using the 2000 -2010 provincial panel data, this paper explores the determination between the saving and growth rate in China. The results find that the real GDP growth rate is the reason of changing in the saving rate. Conversely, the relationship is not established.
