Abstract Based on the survey data of nine townships, we try to analyze the western rural financial market capital allocation efficiency and the influencing factors by using super-efficiency DEA and Tobit model. We find that the overall rural financial market capital allocation efficiency is low and the capital allocation efficiency shows the characteristic of localizing distribution. The four townships which do not meet the DEA efficiency are mainly located in Gaoling Area. The farmers’ education levels and some other factors all have positive effect on capital allocation efficiency. The per capital income of farmers and whether participating in property mortgage loans have different directional impact. Finally, rural financial reform is the key to improve the capital allocation efficiency.
