A Research on the Relationship between the Entry of Foreign Banks and the Efficiency of China’s Banks——Based on the Comprehensive Analysis of DEA and Panel Data

Abstract Based on the estimation of TEC efficiency for domestic commercial banks with DEA method, the paper analyzes the effects of the entry of foreign banks on the efficiency of domestic commercial banks by building a pane model with the data of China’s banks between 2004 and 2010 to. It is found that the entry of foreign banks is significantly positively related to the efficiency of domestic commercial banks; the macro-economy facts have a positively significant effect on domestic commercial banks.
