A Research into the Supply Chain Coordination with Supplier’s Delay in Payments and Retailer’s Sales Effort

Abstract In order to deal with supplier’s delay in payments and supply chain coordination under retailer’s sales effort, the authors constructed the multi-item two-echelon supply chain decision-making model with centralized and decentralized supply chain coordination under retailer’s joint replenishment cycle policy, devised two coordination mechanisms of price discount contract and sales effort cost sharing contract, analyzed the coordination condition and parameter setting of the two contract mechanisms, and obtained the conditions in which retailers prefer price discount contract and sales effort cost sharing contract. A numerical simulation analysis illustrated the effectiveness of these contracts and the influence of the credit period on supply chain coordination was analyzed
