Abstract Based on the data of 14 manufacturing industries in China from 2005 to 2015 in the TiVA database, this paper uses Koopman's indicators of the global value chain division system to empirically study the impact of the producer service on the global value chain division system of China's manufacturing industry. The results show that: increasing the proportion of intermediate inputs of producer service greatly improve the status and participation of China's manufacturing industry labor division in the global value chain; the producer service industry has a greater impact on the forward linkage of China's manufacturing industry labor division in the global value chain; the producer service industry better improve the status of capital-intensive manufacturing value chain and the participation of labor-intensive manufacturing value chain, other results being consistent with the overall regression; the stability test results further confirm the conclusion that the producer service can promote the evolution of China's manufacturing global value chain division system.
